Psychosoziale Nutzen genie\u00dfen h\u00e4ufig eine st\u00e4rkere Relevanz beim Konsumenten, sind jedoch andererseits schwerer von diesem zu ermitteln, da  \u2013 nach Benefits einer Marke befragte \u2013 Konsumenten zun\u00e4chst sachlich-funktionale Nutzen (Benefits) beschreiben <sup><a href=\"#footnote_1_2420\" id=\"identifier_1_2420\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"Esch, 2014, S. 105; 2010, S. 104\">1<\/a><\/sup> und sich teils der emotionalen nicht bewusst sind. Neben der Betrachtung einzelner Benefits ist z.T. auch die Zusammenfassung in einem \u00fcbergreifenden Brand Promise \u00fcblich <sup><a href=\"#footnote_2_2420\" id=\"identifier_2_2420\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"dies birgt jedoch die Gefahr verallgemeinernd zu sein und stark werblich formuliert zu werden\">2<\/a><\/sup>. Produktattribute gest\u00fctzt, welchen jedoch in diesem Modell kein eigenst\u00e4ndiges Modul zukommt, da eine Marke nicht auf den Eigenschaften eines oder mehrerer Produkte basieren sollte auch um auf Marktentwicklungen, Diversifikationen etc. reagieren zu k\u00f6nnen. Esch selbst unterstreicht dies bereits und betont, dass Kunden nicht Produkteigenschaften, sondern Nutzen kaufen w\u00fcrden <sup><a href=\"#footnote_5_2420\" id=\"identifier_5_2420\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"vgl. Rothschild, 1987, S.&nbsp;156 nach Kroeber-Riel\/Esch, 2015. S.&nbsp;93\">5<\/a><\/sup> <sup><a href=\"#footnote_6_2420\" id=\"identifier_6_2420\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"vgl. Esch, 2014, S.&nbsp;105,&nbsp;126; 2010, S.&nbsp;103,&nbsp;158) ((vgl. F&ouml;ll, 2007, S.&nbsp;20\">6<\/a><\/sup>. Gleichzeitig f\u00fchrt Esch auf, dass die versprochenen Nutzen zwingend durch die Markenattribute gest\u00fctzt werden m\u00fcssen <sup><a href=\"#footnote_7_2420\" id=\"identifier_7_2420\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"vgl. Esch, 2014, S.&nbsp;105; 2010, S.&nbsp;104\">7<\/a><\/sup>. Gutjahr fasst diese Thematik wie folgt zusammen: \u201eNicht Produkte tragen Marken (das Missverst\u00e4ndnis ,Markenartikel\u2018\u201c), sondern die Marke tr\u00e4gt das Produkt.\u201c <sup><a href=\"#footnote_8_2420\" id=\"identifier_8_2420\" class=\"footnote-link footnote-identifier-link\" title=\"Gutjahr, 2015, S.&nbsp;18\">8<\/a><\/sup>.
